Service products and spare parts offer higher margins and are also an important instrument for creating stronger relationships with customers. Typically, the challenge is getting the sales organization to see the value in devoting time to aftermarket products and getting the aftermarket organization to see the value in devoting time to sales.
Over a number of years, Atlas Copco launched a number of aftermarket products under the “Care” family name, including ROC Care, which was named Atlas Copco’s innovation of the year in 2009.
